Latin America Sales & Trading Associate - Baltimore, MD

Titan Steel is looking for a charismatic and driven person to support our sales and trading of tinplate steel to Latin America. This role is based out of our Baltimore, MD headquarters, but will service an international customer base. A successful candidate must be fluent in written and spoken Spanish and must have a strong interest in industrial sales and international business.

In this role, you will service an existing customer base as well as develop new customers. You will have direct contact with key stakeholders, allowing you to analyze customers’ requirements and determine effective solutions for their steel sourcing needs. You will also have the opportunity to travel internationally to meet with customers as well as visit steel mills.

Upon joining, you will have the opportunity to go through our training program where we will teach you about steel, international supply chains, and sales techniques.

Responsibilities:

  • Expand our customer base in Latin America
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of our products and services
  • Successfully influence decision-makers at all levels to maximize sales potential
  • Communicate and coordinate activities with teammates

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree
  • Interest in international sales and trading
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Willingness to travel abroad, with previous international travel/living experience preferred
  • Strong ties to the Baltimore area

In this role, you will support transactions with existing international customers by building relationships with key stakeholders, analyzing customer needs, identifying material for sale, creating sales/purchase contracts, and managing the release and shipment of material. You will also have the opportunity to travel to customers and develop new costumers and solutions.

Sales Agent - Global

In this role, you will provide local support for our sales representatives. You will develop ongoing, profitable relationships with customers, while continually maintaining the professional image of Titan Steel. You will be in charge of monitoring the intricacies of the local supply chain, staying current on local market dynamics, and developing a deep understanding of the customers’ needs. Sales will be completed through the tight integration between you, our sales representative for you region, and the customer.
